It is challenging for me to pick one teacher who changed my life, as there are so many to choose from. And there were many more, beyond the teaching profession, who formed me and taught me the fundamentals, starting with my parents, my family and those in the community where I grew up.
Two teachers changed my perspectives and, indeed, my path, for similar yet also different reasons. I often wonder how different life would have been if I had not encountered them. Both helped, and at a critical time, but I didn’t realise their full impact until later.
