It has seeped into British culture at all levels until it has become almost taken for granted. But this has happened sufficiently recently – since 7 October 2023 in fact – to hope it could be reversed equally swiftly. As Edmund Burke is reported to have said (though the exact source has proved elusive), “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” The noxious plague of antisemitism calls for decisive action at all levels, including at the top.
