Word from the Cloisters
As Bess Twiston Davies reports in the news pages, a magnificent gilded icon of St Raphael was installed in the Blessed Sacrament chapel of St Anne’s cathedral, Leeds, last week and blessed by the Bishop of Leeds, Marcus Stock.
The liturgy was attended by members of the Comboni Survivors’ Group – men now in their seventies who were abused by Comboni missionary fathers in the 1960s and 1970s at the junior seminary of St Peter Claver, Mirfield in West Yorkshire – and their families and friends.
