“We do everything together that can be done together, and only do things apart when they have to be done apart. When you think about it, it’s obvious, isn’t it?” a parishioner from St Mary’s Anglican Church, Battersea in London told me. She had come to hear her new vicar, the American-born priest and poet Erin Clark, in conversation with our former Rome correspondent Christopher Lamb, now covering the Vatican beat for CNN, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church a few streets away – just the latest in a series of collabora tions between the two parishes.
