Father, forgive the Paris terrorists

Dear Editor,

On hearing the news of the killings in Paris my first thought was “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

Then I thought, the reaction form the West will be more killing and destruction bombing Syria.

Then I thought “wouldn’t it be wonderful if instead we sent planes to drop food parcels and gifts instead.”

But then I am a single woman aged 73 so am a nobody in the view of the powers that be in both state and church.
