In the light of many recent letters concerning who should be able to receive Communion I suggest the solution could rest with the inclusion of the following pre-communion prayer used in our local Anglican church:
This is the table, not of the Church, but of the Lord
It is made ready for those who love him
And for those who want to love him more.
Come you who have much faith and you who have little, you who have been here often
and you who have not been for a long time.
Come, because the Lord invites you
and it is his will that you should meet him here
