The principal aim of Caritas St Joseph’s (in the Diocese of Westminster) is to support families who embrace members with learning disabilities. As part of my function there as an outreach worker, I attend deanery meetings and catechetical training sessions to talk about my work and ask people if they need support. They often tell me they don’t need my services because they do not have anybody in their parishes with learning disabilities.
