Many happy returns!


 
Happy birthday to one of our centenarian readers, Yvonne Fox, who has held a subscription since at least 1939 and told us she found both her house and job through The Tablet. Mrs Fox said that the magazine had kept her “on course when tempted to moments of exasperation”. Between stints in Africa, where her husband, Dick Fox, worked as a district commissioner in Ghana, Zambia and later northern Nigeria, the couple found a “leave house” within walking distance of a Catholic church through an advertisement in the back of the paper.
