Balding’s homework


 
Best known for her presenting of horse racing on Channel 4, there was some surprise when Clare Balding was announced as the next host of BBC Radio 2’s programme on faith, religion and ethics, Good Morning Sunday. Balding, who is not a practising Christian, has said she is working hard to get herself up to speed on the new topics. “I haven’t done so much homework since I was at school,” the 42-year-old broadcaster and journalist told us on Monday at a media reception at Lambeth Palace hosted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
