Now that Kevin Mayhew (Letters, 18 January) has summed up what is wrong with the new liturgy, perhaps we can expect apologies from some of those who originally told us how wonderful it is. If English Catholics have any sense at all, they will just hold their tongues at future Masses and read the previous text to themselves.
