Married love

Last Sunday, Bishop Philip Egan’s Portsmouth diocese pastoral letter was read in our churches.

The gist of it was concerning the evils of abortion and artificial birth control. As an old, once-married woman with four wonderful adult children and eight adult grandchildren, I just cannot understand how the two can be linked as both evil. If only our clergy were allowed to marry.
