When things don't quite work out as expected

Don’t expect them to be perfect. None of us is. Certainly don’t wrap them in cotton wool and try to solve all their problems for them, or at the other extreme leave them to be completely independent and fend for themselves.

It’s a difficult line to walk, a different route for every family and one all parents have to accept they won’t always navigate as effectively as they might hope.
