I heard the voice of John the Baptist crying in the wilderness: “Repent and be converted, already the axe is laid to the root of the tree. Any tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” What is good fruit? It can only be one thing. It can only be love. If love is killed and replaced by hatred there is no room for God’s love. There is no life that can survive death, no future, only darkness. This is what causes Christ such suffering today.
