Lent: discovering the true name of God in everything we do

In the Year of Mercy, Pope Francis has called on the whole Church to rediscover the true meaning of the word ‘mercy’. During Lent we can start to make mercy a part of everything we do What is the most important attribute of God? Is it beauty? Is it that God is an uncaused being, an unmoved mover, the sustainer of the universe, the Lord of history, infinitely great? Karl Rahner’s answer was, “No, it is none of these things.
