Listeners who tuned in to Today on BBC Radio 4 last week to hear the edition guest edited by Miriam González (above) might have been surprised to hear a new, Catholic contributor to Thought for the Day.Fr George Bowen spoke about inspiration for the New Year. He is a priest at the London Oratory and chaplain to its school, where Ms Gonzáles Durántez, a lawyer and wife of former Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, sends her children. A coincidence? Apparently not: the BBC confirmed to us that Ms Gonzáles had requested Fr Bowen participate. “He made an impressive debut.
