Famous for presenting horse racing and sports programmes, Clare Balding is now considering deepening her spiritual life by applying for a course at Heythrop College. Last weekend, Balding (pictured) invited Sr Gemma Simmonds, a lecturer at the Jesuit-run college, as a guest on her BBC Radio 2 show Good Morning Sunday, which discusses ethical, religious and spiritual issues. Sr Gemma told the BBC presenter about the “sacrament of the present moment”, the “God of little things” and the importance of savouring the moment. “Simply being present to yourself, present to other people, to this day, this moment, you find you don’t need ‘stuff’ to make you happy or make your life feel meaningful,” she explained.  The presenter, who is not a
