Oscar Romero’s sanctity has already been recognised by the Anglican Church, so it is fitting that a former Archbishop of Canterbury is to deliver the annual Romero Lecture on 12 December. Lord Williams of Oystermouth will be taking an ecumenical theme for his address which is entitled “A saint for the whole people of God: Romero and the ecumenical future”.He will be delivering his lecture at 7 p.m. at St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham, and the evening will be hosted by Archbishop Bernard Longley, co-chairman of the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission. Romero is featured at Westminster Abbey as one of nine statues over its West Door and is soon to appear again as one of seven full-sized painted statues at St Albans Cathedral.The former Archbishop of San S
