He frequently reaches for his phone for short calls to friends and strangers. But it also turns out that Pope Francis likes to send text messages as well.In an interview on Christmas Day, Lyons Cardinal Philippe Barbarin said that he had been exchanging SMS messages and emails with the pontiff for several years, and had done so only the previous week to wish him a happy birthday.“When he was in Buenos Aires, we always sent messages on 17 December,” he told Europe 1 radio, adding that it was also his own ordination anniversary. “He’s that kind of man.
