Oona Stannard, who abruptly stepped down from her role as director of the Catholic Education Service almost two years ago, is back in the academic arena with two jobs. The Archdiocese of Southwark’s Education Commission has appointed her as its lead standards associate, a post she will fulfil alongside her role as an adjudicator at the office of the Schools Adjudicator.The Education Commission said Dr Stannard was highly experienced in evaluating school standards due to a previous post with Ofsted’s schools inspectorate. She plans to visit a range of schools to gauge attainment levels and needs and “will be undertaking a detailed programme of data analysis and planning a range of development and extension activities”.
