Your report on persecution of Christians (The Church in the World, 26 October) was a sublime example of how accuracy can be compromised by brevity. Given the extent of persecution of Christians in so many parts of the world, it is misleading to state that Aid to the Church in Need’s publication “Persecuted and Forgotten?” reported a deepening of the problem in 20 countries without also indicating that we surveyed only 30 countries. Persecution is of course not confined to this
