Werner Jeanrond asks what resources exist for “supporting married couples before their marriage breaks down”? (“The embrace of otherness”, 6 June) Has he never heard of Retrouvaille? In Westminster diocese alone this programme has helped over 150 couples come back from separation and divorce since 2009 to say nothing of the thousands upon thousands globally since its establishment in the 1970s. As for his question on accompanying spouses on a process of healing when things end in break-up? What about The Beginning Experience, The Association of Separated and Divorced Catholics, Restored Lives and not least Covenant Keepers?
