The choice not to have an abortion


 

It was disappointing to read the attack upon pro-lifers by Rebecca Bratten Weiss (21 October). She does not appear to be acquainted with the work of organisations such as Life Charity, the Good Counsel Network and the Cardinal Winning project, otherwise she would not have portrayed the pro-life movement as lacking in empathy for women. 

The pro-life movement I am involved in never judges women and actually rolls up their sleeves to help. This week, for example, we were networking to find a sign language interpreter for a woman in dire straits, which was not being provided for her by the abortion clinic. Organisations like the ones mentioned above actually offer women a choice not given to them by BPAS, Marie Stopes or the NHS.
