Last Sunday we celebrated the Feast of Christ the King. It was established by Pope Pius XI 90 years ago in the face of emerging Fascism. A fierce secularism was also on the rise. So, in that dark time, the Pope proclaimed that it is Christ who is the King: not Hitler, not Mussolini, not Franco. God made us to be free and happy in him. If Christ rules, then we shall be.
