Publication of a new catalogue illustrating the sumptuous treasures of Ushaw College near Durham draws fresh attention to the need to preserve this unique collection of artefacts from the rich history of English Catholicism Presiding at the Requiem Mass for Richard III in Leicester two weeks ago, Cardinal Vincent Nichols wore a fragile, embroidered chasuble which probably once belonged to the royal wardrobe of the last Plantagenet king.
