Pupils in Middlesbrough have been sleeping rough under cardboard to experience homelessness for themselves, as Paul Wilkinson found out when he spoke to the adults and children involved Fifty-six pupils arrived at a sports hall in Middlesbrough at eight o’clock one evening last year carrying sleeping bags and toothbrushes in preparation for a night on a hard floor.
