After unexpectedly having had a very good Ash Wednesday, where I found that being dust was quite a liberation, I was surprised later in Lent by Holy Saturday. I woke up feeling very quiet, very aware of the despair and bleak disappointment of the day, the grieving, the hopelessness of it, and yet having a sense that I should stay in that place.

There are those in our media who profess their faith in the Resurrection while neglecting or smearing the poor.
