One God, one book, two faiths: lessons in Judaism at Catholic schools
 

Teaching world religions has been a passion of mine, and it has been a privilege to introduce Judaism to my students. As Gandhi suggested, “Different religions are beautiful flowers from the same garden, or they are branches from the same majestic tree.”

When the Department for Education announced that two religions must be studied at GCSE RE, the Catholic bishops’ conference settled on Judaism as the second world faith to be taught in Catholic schools, explaining that this would further students’ understanding of Christianity as well as advancing Catholic-Jewish relations.
