The living Spirit and liturgical calendar

Eternal Word, Saviour! You are the Divine Eagle whom I love. You draw me. You came into this land of exile, willing to suffer and to die, in order to carry away every single soul and plunge it into the very heart of the Trinity – love’s eternal home.

You returned to your realm of light, and still remain hidden here to nourish us, in our vale of tears, with Holy Communion. Forgive me if I tell you that your love reaches even to madness. At the sight of such folly, surely you expect my own heart to leap up to you? My trust can know no bounds.
