The real work of the Church, Pope Francis says, is learning to experience fraternity with others PARISHES IN Great Britain and Ireland have a long tradition of sending missionaries abroad – priests, men and women Religious and lay people, who are compelled by the message, life and love of Jesus Christ to go overseas and build churches, schools and dispensaries.Their model of mission is evangelisation through the development of peoples – and these missionaries founded the local Church, formed new missionary disciples and did much to shape the face of the new culture with which they engaged. They built a Church that is indigenous and universal; a Church committed to dialogue and
