When a female bishop gets together with Muslim, Hindu and pagan women leaders you might expect conversation to take an unusual course. Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church, spoke at a Westminster Faith Debate in London on Tuesday on female bishops, who, she said, “witness to the otherness of God – white, male English-speaking bishops with degrees from Oxford or Cambridge are only one sort.
