OUR COVER this week depicts a detail of a crucifix by the late artist Steven Sykes. Sixteen feet high and made of concrete, it is looking for a home in a Catholic church. Educated at the Reading Oratory School and the Royal College of Art, Sykes, who died in 1999, is best known for his Gethsemane Chapel mural in Coventry Cathedral.
