Go to work on a prayer


 
This week members of the French Catholic religious group Chemin Neuf are to move into Lambeth Palace. And it appears that the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, wants to include those who live and work at his London headquarters in its prayer life. For example, he has moved the time of morning prayer from 7.30 a.m. to 8.40 a.m. to allow people arriving for work to attend. In addition, the archbishop stops work for midday and evening prayer and also starts each meeting with a prayer. Chemin Neuf, founded in 1973, has an ecumenical vocation with a spirituality that includes Jesuit and contemplative influences along with charismatic prayer.
