John McCaffrey, who helped fund-raise for Pope Benedict XVI’s British visit and more recently was the Labour Party’s fund-raising director, has a new role.McCaffrey, who helped secure a US$230 million (£140m) donation from Bill Gates for Cambridge University, has joined the George Institute for Global Health in Oxford as director of global development.
