Cancer fight forces Cardinal George to cancel travel to canonisations

Chicago’s Cardinal-Archbishop Francis George will not travel to Rome for the 27 April canonisations of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II after taking medical advice, the archdiocese said on Tuesday.

Pope John XXIII appointed George a bishop and Blessed John Paul II made him a cardinal.
