The photo above shows the response by St. Matthew Church in Allouez, Wisconsin to the snow sweeping across parts of the United States. Many Catholic schools and parishes were closed due to extremely cold temperatures. The polar vortex took wind chill temperatures down to around minus 40 degrees both days.
