Time to grow up


 
Bravo to Sue Oakley (Letters, 31 October). She reminds us of the obvious – more and more couples make up their own minds about admission to communion of the remarried, and other church edicts. Many are cradle Catholics who, after half a lifetime of being told what to do, have struggled out of the cradle and are thinking for themselves.Frank MurphySheffieldI disagree with Sue Oakley that personal conscience and careful discernment are all that is necessary for us with regard to making decisions about certain doctrines in the Church.
