One-sided process?


 
It is with reluctance that I write but you recently reported a canonical process which Bishop John Cunningham is pursuing against me (“Parish boycotts Mass after dismissal of whistleblower priest”, News from Britain and Ireland, 14 September). In that report, a quote from an anonymous church spokes- man I felt discredited me. The bishop also issued a statement to the Catholic press, criticising me. I feel compelled to protest at the bishop urging silence, yet simultaneously using the media as a platform for comment. I cannot allow his assertion that my conduct was improper to go unchallenged.
