Yes, the senior management of the Post Office and Fujitsu, and within government, bear personal culpability for the Post Office scandal and must be held to account.
But I wonder about the many staff in all those organisations who must also ask themselves what they did, or more tellingly did not do, that allowed this miscarriage of justice to be rolled out against so many individuals over so many years. Staff who perhaps knew that Horizon was faulty, or toed the line with “You are the only one to have trouble with Horizon,” or minuted the relevant meetings: how is it that none of them blew the whistle? Nether did any of the lawyers who prosecuted the sub-postmasters.
