Optional adoration
The question of the veneration of the eucharistic species outside the celebration of the Mass has again been raised in David Grumett’s article of 8 September. He says that this is a tradition that “we ignore at our cost”.

However, any adoration of the sacrament needs at all times to be related back to the celebration of the Mass, which is what it is all about.
