Is the Pope perfect? Of course not. He heads an institution that has a great deal to answer for when it comes to failings around child abuse (and more than a few financial irregularities, of course). Has the Pope, perhaps in his previous roles , made mistakes? I’m sure he has. Who hasn’t? Does he regret those mistakes?
