‘I’m never sure what’s next’

It’s no bed of roses, says one young priest, while another wonders when there will be time to pray. But all in a recently ordained group agreed in conversation with The Tablet that they were inspired by their calling and the life of grace-filled service it has brought them Figures released by the Church last week show a modest rise in the number of men entering the seminary for dioceses in England and Wales. But for those who have already completed their formation, it is often said that the first years after ordination are some of the most difficult and a time when a number decide to leave.
