The future of The Tablet

A special message from the Chief Executive, Amanda Davison-Young

The future of The Tablet

This autumn a budding journalist will join us in our office in Hammersmith for a year, researching and writing news stories, helping to commission and edit features, and helping us to use social media to promote our stories.

He or she will also acquire a qualification in journalism and will spend time in Rome working with Christopher Lamb, our Vatican-based correspondent.

The archive of every issue of The Tablet since its launch in 1840 has now been digitalised, making it possible for students and historians to search for profiles of the great Catholic characters and accounts of the great events in the life of the Church in modern times.

Exciting news. It will make a great source of challenging but balanced Catholic thought even more valuable in a society so starved it. Pleased to hear of added attention to the souther hemisphere readers,
