The development campaign has already enabled The Tablet to reach more readers than ever before, as chief executive Amanda Davison-Young explains

“As Christians prepare for Easter, more and more are living in fear of being killed,” began the leading article in our special Easter issue, an in-depth survey of an intensifying persecution. On Easter morning, hundreds were killed in attacks on churches in Sri Lanka. Over the next few hours, readers all over the world were able to follow the breaking story of the attacks and the responses to it in London, Rome and from around the world on The Tablet’s recently redesigned website, while also having online access to analysis of a shamefully neglected story of oppression that has taken Christianity to the verge of extinction in its birthplace.
