This week we launch the complete digital archive of The Tablet.
It’s an exciting moment for us. Developed over several years in partnership with digital publishing experts at the British Library and Exact Editions, this new platform will enable subscribers to view every page of all 8,750+ issues published since The Tablet was launched in May 1840, and to search for specific articles or events or writers with ease. Whether you want to learn more about the attitudes of the Catholic Church to conscientious objectors in the First World War or read little-known work by Graham Greene or Evelyn Waugh, the advanced search function makes it easy to satisfy your curiosity. Journalists tend to think only of the next issue. For us, too, the archive will be a way of reconnecting with our past, of reminding ourselves of our heritage and our values.
