There is only one subject on the mind of Morains N Ding Seng Taung, a teacher in a Christian school in northern Myanmar – the impending visit of Pope Francis. He is coming on 27 November for three days, and she is making the long journey down to the country’s biggest city, Yangon, to see him, together with three other members of her family. “I am very excited,” she says. “There have been 266 popes, but only this one is coming to Myanmar. It’s a special blessing.”
