Join us for this Tablet webinar where Dr Michael Carter, a senior properties historian at English Heritage and an associate fellow at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London, will be talking to us about how researching and writing about medieval history, art and monasticism has provided a way of engaging with his childhood Catholicism, healing and growth.

Dr Michael Carter FSA, FRHistS is a historian and art historian who specialises in monasticism, especially in the late Middle Ages. His primary areas of interest are monastic art and architecture, relics and their veneration, and monastic books and libraries.
