If These Stones Could Talk: A History of Christianity in Britain and Ireland Through 20 Churches

Our landscape is filled with churches, abbeys, chapels and cathedrals, grand and humble, ruined and thriving, ancient and modern, that together chronicle how religion has defined our past and shapes our present.

In his new book, Peter Stanford visits 20 buildings, one per century, that provide a narrative about what Christianity has meant to the nations of the British Isles, and the sense it has given us of who we are and how we live with each other.

He talks about his travels to Coky Giedroyc.
