In his new book, Peter Stanford visits 20 buildings, one per century, that provide a narrative about what Christianity has meant to the nations of the British Isles, and the sense it has given us of who we are and how we live with each other.

Peter Stanford is a writer, broadcaster and Telegraph journalist, who began his career at the Tablet, went on to edit the Catholic Herald, and now writes our regular 'Tablet Interview' feature. Known for his biographies and writings on religion and ethics - his life of Lord Longford became the 2006 BAFTA–winning film Longford starring Jim Broadbent in the title role – Peter’s new illustrated book If These Stones Could Talk is published on October 14 by Hodder.
Coky Giedroyc is a multiple BAFTA-winning English director known for her work on Women Talking Dirty, The Virgin Queen, The Nativity and Penny Dreadful. She is the elder sister of actress and presenter Mel Giedroyc.
