Malign influence of social media

The immense popularity of the four-part Netflix series Adolescence, has brought fresh attention to the debate around the corrosive effects of social media and misogynist influencers on some teenage boys.

There’s a danger of stereotyping all boys as isolated or misogynistic, and most parents as remote and disengaged. Adolescence has always been an obstacle course. Most families and most schools are still places where children learn and play face to face with real people and where they come to know that they are loved and cherished.
