Ending a vile culture
The sexual harassment (and worse) of young women by powerful men is older than the Bible. So is ignoring it. Yet almost overnight things have changed. Hollywood is said to have taken on the atmosphere of a lynch mob, and the Palace of Westminster is not much better. It is a moment of truth. Tectonic shifts are occurring in tolerance levels – moving the line between what can be dismissed with a shrug, and what must be shouted angrily from the rooftops.
The resulting earthquake is entirely welcome and long overdue.
