Bless me, robot, for I have sinned. I am very taken with the news that a church in Switzerland has installed an artificial intelligence (AI) Jesus to hear confessions. Lest the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith hear about this and freak out, a few words of reassurance: it is an experiential art work created by a curious theologian at St Peter’s Chapel in Lucerne.
